I would like to thank everybody at Chobham Rugby Club who volunteered on Saturday and to those who contributed leading up the event. The 110% effort that each and every one of you put in made the day a resounding success. There are far too many names to mention but you all know who you are. Two people that I would like to thank personally are Jackie and Steve Edwards, who have been planning this event since August, and whose Firework display set to music was absolutely stupendous.
I also would like to make a personal apology to those girls and boys who made a lot of effort to come on Saturday in their fancy dress costumes and missed the judging. I asked for the judging to start at 6.45 pm as it indicated on the poster with the intention of taking the winners to light the bonfire at 7 pm. I had no idea that the judging was to be at 7 pm. It was totally my fault and for that I apologise. I have taken this on board and I reassure you that this will not happen again. I do hope that this didn’t ruin your enjoyment of what was a spectacular evening and I hope to see you all next year.
We at Chobham RFC strive to make events bigger and better, and in order to do this we would welcome feedback with regards to the recent Fireworks, whether good or bad. Please can you e-mail any feedback to Jackie Edwards at Thank You?
Regards,
Geraint Parry
Social Secretary
