Chobham Rugby said today they will renew their contract with Head Coach Billy Davison, he joined the club in 2019 and due to the Covid epidemic has only had one full season at the helm. This will take him through to the end of the 2022/23 Season at Fowlers Wells.
Billy said “I have not been able to complete my plans from when I first joined, because of Covid, and with a heavy focus on player development I want to finish our journey as a squad. I’m really enjoying my time at Chobham and believe we can compete at a higher level.”
Harry Norman-Walker, Chobham’s Director of Rugby, said “this is an incredibly exciting time and we as a club are so pleased Billy will still be around next season, with his experience and knowledge we hope this great club will achieve its long-term plans.
Billy Davison (ex-England A, ex Harlequins, Saracens & Esher) has set up a great coaching team with Robbie Kennard (over 100 1st XV Caps and Surrey), Chris Nicholas (ex-Rosslyn Park, Penzance & Newlyn) and Gus Darroch-Warren (ex-Durban & Oxford Uni).”
