Chobham Fireworks – Volunteers needed?

Dear Chobham members,

As you know the Chobham Fireworks evening (Saturday 27th October) is not only the biggest community event for Chobham but it is one of Chobham RFC’s biggest social events and we need your help.  We need as many volunteers from across all the sections of the club to help where possible to make this a successful event.  The minis run the sweets, candyfloss and popcorn stalls.  Juniors run the BBQ and outside bar.  Seniors take care of security.  But we need help before the event with the following from 10am on Saturday.

– setting up marquees for the various stalls.

– putting up the orange fencing around the bonfire.

– putting up signage.

– preparing all the stalls with equipment.

– electrical work for outside lighting.

– preparing the BBQs.

We will also need all the support we can get on the night and may have gaps on the BBQ or outside bar at times, so should you wish to help on those then you would be most welcome.

If you are able to help with any of the following can you please let Sherrie Mayger know as soon as possible either on Facebook, email here or  07701 096899.

Many thanks

Geraint Parry

Club Social Secretary

Please pick up your rubbish.

Ladies and Gents. I have spent most of today cutting the majority of the pitches at the club. I’m not asking for praise or a pat on the back, I do it as a form of repayment for the time and effort the club has given my boys to learn and enjoy the wonderful game of rugby. What I am after though is for managers, coaches, players, parents or spectators to pick up their rubbish after a match, a training session or any other event held at the club.  Please, if you see rubbish, pick it up and dispose of it accordingly. We have recycle bins at the rear of the club.

Many thanks.

Geraint Parry

Head Gardener.
