This coming weekend sees carnival time in Chobham again. Chobham RFC play a big part in this community event. It is a fantastic day starting with the procession through the High Street which finishes at the Recreation Ground. There are plenty of stalls, attractions and entertainers which comprise, an Action Stunt Show, Falconry School & Display, Magic show, Funfair & lots more. There will also be, The Chobham RFC Carnival Bar. From Sunday at 12 noon we need lots of volunteers to help out. The more the merrier. We will be erecting the pop-up marquees & building the bar. Monday 2nd May, the procession leaves Chobham RFC car park at 11.30am. We’re looking for players, parents, club members to follow the club car in the Carnival Procession, shaking buckets along the way collecting money for a local charity. The dress code is PIRATES – easy for the recent ‘Pirate’ themed mini tour! If not just wear your Rugby shirt. Please meet at 11am. It will finish by 1pm at the latest so it won’t take up much of your time. The Chobham RFC bar opens at 12pm, so if you fancy pulling a pint or two for half an hour, come and join us. It’s great fun & really easy. Please let Geraint Parry here or Jackie Edwards here know if you would like to volunteer with the set up, helping out in the bar or breaking down and; and Liam Cranford here if you want to join in the procession. We will also from 5pm need volunteers to help break down.
