About the Evening
Theme: ‘The Colours of Chobham’
Date: Saturday 25th March 2017
Venue: To be held in the Spirit of Rugby Room, West Stand, Twickenham Stadium
The bar will be open from 7.00pm and the drinks reception, with access to the Royal Box overlooking the floodlit stadium, will be held between 7.30pm – 8.00pm. This is paid for in your ticket so don’t be late! Should you wish to purchase wine/drinks to have with your meal it is recommended you buy this prior to the drinks reception & place on your numbered table.
Dinner will be at 8.00pm. There will be a 3 course meal followed by coffee and truffles.
The Bar closes at 12.30pm and carriages at 1.00am.
Guest Speakers
We have two guest speakers:
- Mark Regan Mark ‘Ronnie’ Regan MBE is an English rugby union player. He has played as a hooker for Bristol, Bath, Leeds Tykes as well as England and the British Lions. He was the winning 2003 World Cup squad
- Tom May is a former rugby union player. May enjoyed a nineteen-year career that incorporated spells at Newcastle Falcons, Toulon Rugby, Northampton Saints and London Welsh. May also won two caps for England, both in 2009.
There will be a question and answer session so any questions you’d like to ask please let us know beforehand! After the speeches there will be the chance to dance the night away, or for those wishing to catch up with old friends there will be plenty of time and opportunity to have a good natter!
Getting There
Free parking is available in the North Car Park which is accessed via the entrance on Rugby Road. (The West Car Park is now a ‘fan village’). Also park in the North Car Park if you are staying at the Marriott.
Access to the venue on foot is via the Lion Gates (now also called the Rose and Poppy gates – see photo) to the Spirit of Rugby on the second floor of the West Stand.
For those who have booked the coach, this will leave the club at 6.15pm and will collect you from Twickenham at 1.00am.
