The Chobham Under 9’s hosted its first festival of the year with visiting teams from Teddington, Reeds, Cobham and Wimbledon. Chobham fielded five teams and saw one team after another grow into contact and although gracious hosts gave no quarter on the pitch with every team earning victories during the day.
The Yellow team was tenacious on defence with multiple seven tackle turnovers in each of their five games. The Greens were also up to the task with try scoring coming early and often while the defence picked up in each game. The Blue and Orange teams followed suit and gave as good as they got scoring step for step while also gathering momentum on defence with several turnovers via tackles. The Red team seemed to gel early and often in the festival and held serve throughout winning 5 – 5.
