Chobham Women 22 Welwyn Ladies 22
On a glorious Sunday afternoon Chobham Women hosted Welwyn Ladies in their 3rd League game of the season playing in NC1 South East (North) pool.
From the offset the game was about who was going to dominate the scrums and breakdowns. Both teams were pretty evenly matched and had their fair share of turnovers.
Once again Chobham showed great resilience and great tackling from every player. With multiple phases Chobham had to overcome and with new player partnerships in the back line we showed the huge potential Chobham Women have this season.
Mia Eldridge who recently transferred to Chobham scored a hat trick, the other try scorer was Georgina Bullen who put in a great shift defensively and winning many of our lineouts and conversion by Gina Lee Captain on the day.
Forwards player was Lucy Mortimer our Hooker, and Backs player was Angela Randazzo playing Scrum Half. Both ladies were carrying slight injuries but showed their 100% commitment to Chobham Women.
With a well deserved rest weekend coming up our next fixture is away to Sudbury Ladies (CO10 0GB) on the 22nd October.
