Crusaders strong start to the season

Crusaders match report 20th September v Reading Saxons from Matthew Archer:

It was clear from the get go that Chobham Crusaders pre season training was going to pay off!  An astonishing first 20 mins of sumptuous lines breaks, delicious support play and clinical decision making saw Chobham create a healthy lead.  Everyone on the pitch contributing to the 37-0 half time score line.

The second half started with more of the same from Chob before a brave Reading fightback with themselves scoring tries through good rugby. A final score of 61-21 polished off a fantastic day for the club and ensured the Crusaders can go into the league season with real optimism.
Stand out performers on the day were Tommy Knox playing out of position at scrum half, Ian (Flapper) White for great link up play and a special mention to Mr Wickes our referee who did a great job in charge of his first senior game.
Onwards to our next Crusade!
