Shaun Matthew’s Viking Cup Memorial Game – 2nd February
Sadly Chobham club stalwart Shaun Matthew passed away in 2018, he had played for both Chobham and Weybridge Vandals and at his funeral both clubs felt it appropriate to have an annual game in The Vikings memory.
The game will be a tribute to the man, followed by the Ireland v England Six Nations game and then an evening of karaoke.
All players are welcome to play in the game in Shaun’s honour as there are no senior games that weekend, any past players from Shaun’s “eras” are welcome to make a cameo appearance and the teams manage appropriately their opposition.
Please contact Neil Gadsby if you’d like to play, however small the cameo!
The karaoke is open to all members and partners of all the sections of the club.
There is no cost but there will be a raffle and the proceeds will go to the charity that Shaun raised money for, Mind mental health charity.
Memorial Match Kick off: 2pm
England -v- Ireland match : 4.45pm
Karaoke : 7pm
